General Questions

  1. Why do I have this pain in my butt or leg?
Download our FREE guide 4 Common Causes of Sciatica Pain using the form on the right.

  2. What can I do to get rid of this pain?!
The founder of the Back in Action Institute lived with his pain for almost a quarter of his life, before he came across a set of specific stretches and exercises that helped him beat his pain.

We've put it all together for you in our 10-Minute Sciatica Relief Program. We boiled it down to the most essential sciatica stretches and exercises so you can a) go back to what you were doing before you had the pain and b) not have to spend hours per day doing our program.
  3. How come my doctor didn't talk about any of this? He's a pretty smart guy/gal.
Although there are many good doctors, unfortunately many of them are too quick to solve the sciatica pain, rather than what is causing the pain.
They may prescribe pain killers, which only cover up the pain, but don't solve it.
They may prescribe physical therapy, which is good, but most likely generic physical therapy not specific to your condition.
They may suggest surgery, but most studies prove that surgery is only a short term solution to piriformis muscle pain and sciatic nerve pain. The pain will return within 6-12 months.

We wish more doctors talked about muscle imbalances and recommend physical therapy specific to the structural disorders, but they don't. Hopefully as more and more people find a long-term solution to piriformis syndrome with our program, then doctors of the future may change. But until then, we're here to help.
  4. Why are shoe lifts so bad?
They prevent your body from correcting the Hip Tilt. Most people have a leg length discrepancy of some kind. The only way to accurately measure is with an x-ray measurement. Most of your discrepancy is likely caused by muscle imbalances, not leg length difference. Try doing the program while not wearking your lift and see how that feels.

In your online invoice, you should see a link to our Quick Start Guide. That will give you what you need to get started on the 10-Minute Sciatica Relief Program.
  4. Do I really NEED to do the photo assessment?
Yes. Most likely you will be surprised at what you are able to diagnose only through a picture. It will also help you make 100% sure that you are doing the right piriformis stretches and exercises.
  5. I'm in too much pain to start the program, what do I do?
Listen to the Pain Reduction Tips Audio Course and use those strategies to reduce your sciatic nerve pain to a manageable level so you can do the stretches and exercises.
  6. Is it possible to have two or more structural disorders causing my sciatica pain?
Yes. In fact, most people have two or three disorders because once you have one, it causes additional imbalances in your body, that lead to a tight piriformis muscle and sciatic nerve pain. However, it is impossible to have all four, because two of the disorders are opposing muscle imbalances.

It is important that you do ALL the stretches and exercises for the disorders you have diagnosed.
  7. How often do I need to do the exercises and stretches for my sciatica pain to go away?
When you first get the program, do the video exercises everyday for the first four weeks. After that, continue doing them a few times per week, while incorporating additional stretches and exercises that you've learned along the way, or our advanced stretches shown in the bonus video.

It's important that you continue doing the stretches and exercises at least a few times per week or your pain will likely come back.

Just a few minutes per week is all we ask. We don't expect you to do hours worth per day, because nobody can keep up with that. So just do it a few times per week and you'll be set.
  8. Will some of the stretches and exercises cause sciatic nerve pain?
Potentially. For many people, you may feel some pain. If that's the case, don't push it too hard. Listen to your body. Over time your pain should reduce.

A good example are the hip flexor stretches we do. Many people feel pain after doing them, so they think the stretches are bad. In the short term you might feel piriformis pain, but in the long term it will correct your muscle imbalances. Stick with it.
  9. My abs/buttocks/hamstrings/etc. are burning. Is this workout supposed to be this tough?
Yes! In order for us to condence the exercises into just a few minutes per day, we had to give you tough stretches and exercises. As you do the program more, your body will build strength and you'll soon be able to do the whole program without hitting pause! Hang in there!
  10. I couldn't self diagnose any structural disorder. Now what?
Try again. But this time notice what you body feels a little closer. Conduct your assessment in a quiet place with no distractions. Closely feel to see if certain muscles are tighter than others.

If you took the photos, try taking them again. Stand naturally in the photos, don't try and force yourself to have good posture.

If you have pinched nerve pain, most likely you have one of the disorders. So keep trying. If you still need help, contact us.
  11. How long will it take until it works?
It depends on how bad your disorder is. Some customers will notice a reduction in pain immediately. Some it will take a few weeks.

However, all customers should feel a reduction in pain after completing the treatment portion of our program. But only by continuing the Maintenance part of the program, you will keep the sciatic nerve pain away for good!
  12. When can I lift weights or exercise again?
Take a break from the gym for the first few weeks of the program. After that, you can return to exercises and lifting weights, but try to do physical activities that build strength in your weak muscles and NOT ones that build strength in your already strong muscles.

For example, if you have DPP, consider doing hamstring curls at the gym to build hamstring strength. Avoid lunges, which might make muscle imbalances worse.

Or if you have DPP, avoid or minimize activities that strenghten your already-strong quadriceps, like biking and running.
  13. If I had surgery, or I'm pregnant, should I do this program?
Because this program is intended for active adults and consists of intense exercises and stretches, we recommend you ask your doctor before doing this program.
  14. How do I return the program for a refund?
We stand by our 100% money-back guarantee. If you tried the 10 Minute Sciatica Relief Program and it didn't work for you, please return the program to:
